happy tears

it was that yearly gathering at coly's place once again. we talked about the good old days when we were a team. it was a revelation to me. revelation of their thoughts and feelings about me.

coly was so proud of the team. he said that if he ever gets back to the front-line, he'll call all of us up for "mobilization". haha what a funny analogy. i could see that glow in his eyes - the longing for a great working environment. he sits right outside of director's office to date. tell me, what kind of stress could he possibly be in?

jane was a crowd-turner. she dressed up in the ever lustful color, purple, from head to toe, like a bohemien goddess. her hair had tiny tints of gold and never showed a slight tinge of the tomboy girl she used to be. i couldn't put my finger on whether she was straight or otherwise. but she talked abt her previous relationship like they were still together.

she was amazed by my story. we were talking about our lives thru-out the journey. we were so engrossed in telling our stories that it doesn't matter if we took the wrong bus and had to de-tour back to the interchange. we paused for a bit to get our bearings right, and then we went back into our deep conversation.

that's what happened if you only meet once a year.

when i first started working with coly, he confessed that he wasn't sure of what to expect of me. he was worried if i was the kind of person who defies authority. because tyrone, from my batch, was slapped with a big "you're fired" ultimatum for being overtly rude both in verbal & body language. he was wondering why i was picked to be transfered from tp to cine.

"something's fishy", he said with a grin.

well of course it was my smile that won him over. and with his great judgement of character plus instinct, he picked out superb team-mates whom i worked with for about 2 years. there are those who came and go due to commitments in other areas, but we do still keep in touch. and that made him so proud of our team.

weng, vince and alv came slightly later. and that's another bunch of stories which got too complicated that i couldn't be bothered to jot it down.
