end of day

"Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got."
—Janis Joplin

compromise is a big word to me. sometimes it's difficult to explain what it really means but for me, i roughly knew what it is all about. it's about make-do with what you have. accomodating yourself to the situation. and the likes.

when you compromise, it shows that you empathise and understand people's needs. you want to make it easy for all parties so that there won't be any bickering. it shows that you're a considerate human being and gets along well with everybody.

when you don't compromise, you tend to show people your selfishness, greed, and all the related sins. quarrels will arise, hatred and even revenge! people will think bad about you because of your self-centred-ness. it's like being stereotyped when in actual fact, all you really want is for yourself to be happy.

is that so wrong?

As long as you're not always the person who has to make the compromise then this theory is very noble.

I didn't know you were lurking here!
