rub-a-chin

i finally found out the secret of reducing your double chin and your lower abs without the need to exercise... read this with caution because you'll need to execute some kind of discipline to achieve this. but before i go on, PS: results might vary from individual to another.

i went on a strict (sort of) diet of veg & fruits. no slightest hint of carbo (aka, rice, pasta, potato) at all for the whole of first week. most important is to hydrate yourself often, otherwise you'll get piles along the way :)

couple that diet up with fiber drink. in my case, Fybogel - orange flavour. it's tasteless except for the bit of tangy orange taste at the tip of your lip. at one point, i took prune juice, because my bowel movement wasn't that good.

juices are always the best because it's direct extraction from the juice (liquid form). if you take the prune itself, it'll take awhile because your body needs to digest it to liquid form and distribute it accordingly.

once you're done with the 1st week, do reward yourself with a bit of carbo - say, sandwiches, fish soup with rice / thin beehoon. 2nd week, continue the same but add in bit of carbo in your diet so that you have some energy.

by 3rd week, you'll be tired of eating veg & fruits so don't torture yourself - grab some healthy stuff to eat. i must admit i'm guilty of snacking at 3rd week. i can't help but get potato chips and KFC over the weekend. At 3rd week, you should be able to see the change on your body - you're obviously lighter, your body shrunk and your double chin has shrunk.

My daily in-take of veg & fruits:
- salad
- celery (dices)
- carrots (dices)
- kernal corns
- tuna (canned ones in mineral water/ water - squeeze lemon into it)
- tomatos (dices)
- japanese cucumber
- yellow capsicum
- cheese (very light / non-fat)
- sour cream (non-fat)
- 1/2 apple (dice)
- 2-3 prunes (in small pieces)

you can add other things like, alfa-alfa, bits of steam chicken, turkey ham, bacO bits (no pork), other types of cabbages, other types of cheese, strawberries, kidney beans (canned), chickpeas (canned), green apple, banana, raisins, etc.

salad dressing is optional, but if you want some taste, let me list down some pointers:
thousand island dressing (kraft) - very "sinful" never use this if you intend to lose weight!
ceasar salad dressing - slightly creamy and "sinful"
italian zesty dressing (kraft) - sourish / taste like vinegar but it's absolutely nice. top this up with black pepper and waa-laa!
coleslaw dressing (kraft) - less creamy, and less sinful i guess :D

i find that dieting really stops you from "socializing" with your colleagues / friends during mealtimes. it's like, you really gotta tell them you don't want to eat all sorts of other food, and you can't share the desserts they bought. that really sucks, but hey, there should be some point where you should start. you know?

so there you go.
